Mission

Abigail Yohannes Foundation Corp is a Georgia nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the life, spirit, and legacy of Abigail Yohannes by continuing the values that defined her: a love for learning, compassion for others, curiosity about the world, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Our mission is to expand access to education, promote literacy, support student and youth well-being, and create opportunities that help individuals and communities grow, learn, and reach their full potential.

Through initiatives supporting libraries, access to books, educational resources, student empowerment, and mental health awareness, the Foundation seeks to inspire a lifelong love of learning and create supportive communities.

We believe that books and education have the power to open minds, connect communities, and create pathways toward a brighter future.

Collecting and distributing quality books to schools, libraries, and underserved youth locally and internationally.

Community Libraries & Memorial Shelves

Establishing reading collections and dedicated Abigail Yohannes memorial bookshelves to provide welcoming spaces for students and community members.

Supporting educational opportunities, guidance, and community programs that encourage academic growth, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Promoting awareness, understanding, resources, and supportive spaces that encourage emotional well-being among students and youth.

Supporting young writers, creators, and artists by encouraging opportunities for writing, creativity, and the arts.

Abigail’s Love of Reading

As part of our mission, the Foundation is working to establish a dedicated Abigail Yohannes bookshelf or reading collection at her school and, in the future, at other libraries and educational institutions.

These collections will honor Abigail’s love of books and reading while giving students and community members the opportunity to discover books and develop a lifelong love of reading.

Help Us Build Abigail’s Library

Supporters can help build Abigail’s Library by donating a book from Abigail’s Amazon Book List. By selecting “Order Book” on our website, supporters can choose a book from her list and have it shipped to the Abigail Yohannes Foundation. These books will become part of Abigail’s lasting literary legacy and help create collections for future readers.

የአቢጋኤል ዮሐንስ ፋውንዴሽን የአቢጋኤል የማንበብ ባህልን፣ የደግነት እና የበጎ አድራጎት ባህል ለማስቀጠል ይሰራል። ዓላማችን የትምህርት ዕድሎችን ማስፋፋት፣ የንባብ ባህልን ማሳደግ እና የአእምሮ ጤና ግንዛቤን በመፍጠር  ወጣቶች እና ማህበረሰቦች  መደገፍ ነው።

       ዋና ዋና ዓላማዎች

•   ለቤተ-መጻሕፍትን መጻሕፍትን ማሰራጨት፦ መጻሕፍትን ለወጣቶች ተደራሽ ማድረግ፣ እንዲሁም የትምህርት ቤቶችን  በግብዓቶች መደገፍ።

•   የአቢጋኤልን የማንበብ ፍቅር ለሌላ ወጣቶች ማስተላለፍ፦ በትምህርት ቤቷ እና በተለያዩ ተቋማት የእርሷን ተወዳጅ መጻሕፍት የያዘ ልዩ መደርደሪያ ማቋቋም።

•   የንባብ ባህልን ማሳደግ፦ በማህበረሰቦች ውስጥ ቀጣይነት ያለው የማንበብ፣ የመማር እና የመመራመር ፍቅርን ማበረታታት።

•   አዳዲስ ድምፆችን ማበረታታት፦ ለፈጠራ ጽሕፈትና ለኪነ-ጥበብ መድረኮችን በማዘጋጀት ወጣት ጸሐፊዎችን መደገፍ።

•   የአእምሮ ጤናን እና ደህንነትን መደገፍ፦ ግንዛቤን ማሳደግ፣ ግብዓቶችን ማቅረብ እና ለወጣቶች ደጋፊ አካባቢዎችን መፍጠር።

•  የአቢጋኤልን ፍላጎት ማስቀጠል፦ የእርሷን የመማር፣ የደግነት እና የአገልግሎት እሴቶች የሚያንፀባርቁ ዘላቂ ፕሮግራሞችን መቅረጽ።

የአቢጋኤልን ቤተ-መጻሕፍት መደርድሪያ (Shelf)እንድንገነባ ይርዱን

ከአቢጋኤል የአማዞን የመጻሕፍት ዝርዝር (Amazon Book List) ውስጥ መጽሐፍ በመለገስ የበኩሎን አስተዋጽኦ ያድርጉ። በድረ-ገጻችን "Order Book" የሚለውን በመጫን የሚመርጡት መጽሐፍ በቀጥታ ለፋውንዴሽኑ የሚላክ ሲሆን፣ ለቀጣዩ ትውልድ የሚሆን ዘላቂ ስብስብ ለመፍጠር ያግዛል።
